DigiOS connects through the USPS APIs on the USPS developer portal, using OAuth 2.0 and your business account details. The older Web Tools service was retired in January 2026, so new connections use the current APIs only.
- Where it stands
- Planned1 Nov 2026
- About USPS
- The United States Postal Service delivers mail and packages, and publishes developer APIs for addresses, prices, labels and tracking.
- Your account
- Your carrier accounts, account numbers and negotiated rates stay yours, and carrier charges go to your account.
- If a document is rejected
- A label request the carrier refuses, such as a bad address, stops the carton at the pack station with the carrier's message. The packer fixes it or picks another service, and nothing ships without a label.
Questions about USPS
Do you still use the Web Tools APIs?
No. USPS retired them in January 2026. DigiOS uses the current USPS APIs.
Can we ship USPS through a shipping tool instead?
Yes. Many shops buy USPS postage through ShipStation, EasyPost or Shippo, and DigiOS connects to those.
Who pays for postage?
The payment account you give DigiOS. Charges appear on your USPS account, not ours.
