DigiFactory · Operator screens

A screen for every line, built from the machines on it.

List the machines and DigiFactory builds the screens an operator needs: a plant overview, a screen per area and line, a screen per machine with its faceplates and trends, and the alarm summary. A builder changes them. An assistant drafts new ones for an engineer to approve.

From the plant to one machine

Every line at a glance.

Each line with its state, its work order, what is holding it up and its alarms. The overview is the calmest screen in the plant.

Operator sheets for a lineRead a line section by section, then one machine, then its trend. Grey is normal; the andon strip and red outlines show where to go.

One line, machine by machine.

The machines in order, with the part or batch each is working and OEE and andon beside them.

A faceplate for each machine.

The readings, the setpoints and the controls you allow.

A trend with its limits.

Any reading over any window, with its alarm limits and the alarms along it.

Screens made once, then repeated

Adding a machine
Machine by machineAn integrator draws the screen, wires the tags and writes the alarms.
Type by typeIt joins the list, and the faceplate for its type, its alarms and its trend come with it.
Changing a layout
Machine by machineEdit every copy.
Type by typeEdit the type once.
Reading a screen
Machine by machineBright colour everywhere.
Type by typeA grey stage with colour for what is abnormal.
Who may edit
Machine by machineAnyone with the engineering software.
Type by typeA controlled change that a named person approves.

Build the screens only your plant needs.

Place a trend, a tile or a faceplate and bind it to a reading with its unit. Every widget shows the source of its number, its age and its quality. A published screen changes only through approval, and your own screens are kept when DigiFactory updates.

  • A screen for a shift lead, a quality engineer or a wall.
  • Saved views, shared by line or by team.
Approvals inboxSee exactly what a change will do, then approve or reject it. Automation can prepare a request; a named person decides.

Ask for a screen. An engineer signs it off.

Ask for the filler and its two upstream conveyors on one screen, and the assistant drafts it from your equipment list. Nothing goes live on the line until a named person says so.

Ask.

Say which machines belong on one screen.

Review.

An engineer edits the draft and checks every reading it shows.

Approve.

A named person approves it before it reaches the line.

Grey stage. Colour for what is abnormal.

Every screen follows ISA-101 and shows each number with its unit, its age and the PLC it came from.

Questions

Does it replace our HMI?

It can, screen by screen. Start beside it, move the screens that gain from a shared view, and leave the rest.

Can we show a screen on a phone?

Yes. A phone gets a list of machines, their states and the alarms waiting, not a squeezed plant drawing.

Describe one line.

Tell us what it makes and which PLCs run it. We'll show you its screens.
