DigiWarehouse · Equipment and control

Connect the conveyors, cold rooms, doors and robots, and run them from the floor.

DigiOS connects to the PLCs behind your conveyors, sorters, cold rooms and dock doors and to your robot fleets (VDA 5050), shows each one beside the work it is doing, and lets the right person start, stop and adjust it. Every command is checked, confirmed and written down.

Equipment controlOperate a drive from the screen: pick a control, confirm it before the timer runs out, and see the answer in place. A control that needs a second person waits for that person by name.

What connects

Standards and protocols
CategoryNamesWhat you get
Conveyors and sortersPLC, OPC UA, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINETEach section's state beside the orders on it, and the controls you allow, one confirmation level at a time.
Cold roomsTemperature sensors, MQTT with Sparkplug B, OPC UAEvery zone watched. A reading out of range raises an alarm and puts that zone's stock on hold.
Dock doorsDoor controllers, Modbus TCP, OPC UADoor state beside the appointment: open, closed, held open past its window.
RobotsAMR, AGV, autonomous forklifts, VDA 5050Fleets from different makers, in one set of zones and rules, taking jobs from the same queue as your people.
LayersISA-95The business, the warehouse system, then control: each layer does its own job.

Three levels of confirmation

Each control carries the level you give it. A site can tighten a level; only a second person can loosen one.

Direct.

Stopping, acknowledging, and small adjustments inside a band you set. One action, checked against who holds control, the range and the rate. Stop is always direct: stopping is never slower than starting.

Confirm, then operate.

Starting and stopping drives, opening and closing valves, changing modes and larger adjustments. You select it, confirm within a short window, and it runs.

A second person approves.

Putting equipment into maintenance, changing a limit or a recipe. A second person sees the exact change and the equipment, and approves it before it runs.

A request, from select to read-back.

Whatever the level, a request ends the same way: the value is read back from the equipment and the result is shown to the person who asked.

A control request takes the path its risk calls for: straight through, through a confirmation, or through a second person's approval, and each one ends with the value read back to the operator.

How control stays under control

One person holds control.
Everyone else sees who holds an asset.
Handover is asked for.
Anyone can ask for a handover. A supervisor can take control with a second person's approval; the holder is told.
Local always wins.
The machine's own Local and Remote switch beats the screen. Nobody can take control from someone standing at the equipment.
Every command is read back.
The value is read back from the equipment and the result shows where you gave the command: confirmed, refused with the reason, or rejected by the PLC.
The rules are checked twice.
A check inside your building repeats who holds control, what is allowed, how far and how often, before anything is written. Writes go only to the points you list.
Nothing waits in a queue.
If the link drops, nothing is held to run later. The PLC keeps running its own programme, and for an emergency stop DigiOS tells the site what to do and never offers to clear it.

The PLC keeps its own safety.

Interlocks, emergency stops and safety functions stay in the PLC and in your safety system. DigiOS is never part of a safety function.

DigiOS asks through the edge unit in your building, the PLC and its safety system keep their own interlocks, and the local and remote switch always wins.

Questions

Can DigiOS write to our PLCs?

Yes, to the points you list. Each point has its range, its confirmation level and its read-back, and nothing else can be written.

Who decides the level a control needs?

You do, by type of equipment. A site can tighten a level. Loosening one needs a second person.

What happens when the network drops?

Nothing queues. The PLC keeps running its own programme, and control returns when the link does.

Do you replace our SCADA?

Not to start. DigiOS works beside it and takes on the screens you choose.

Send us the equipment on one floor.

We'll walk through your equipment list with you and show you the control screen for it.
