Automation and equipment · Lines and machines

Line software that shows each conveyor, sorter and machine beside the orders it serves.

PLCs, conveyors, sorters, scales, dimensioners, labelers, RFID portals and storage systems work from the same orders as your office and your people. DigiOS sends the line its work. A stopped section shows the work it holds up.

Sample data

Conveyor and line viewThe line drawn from the pack stations to the lanes, with the state of each segment and the order each carton belongs to. The back office and the conveyor read the same scan.On a phone this shows the scanner, the scale and lane 2, with the cartons and their orders.

What it usually looks like

  • The conveyor runs on one system and the orders live in another.

  • Weights are keyed in by hand after the scale has shown them.

  • A jam is found when the orders are already late.

Six things it does

From the back office to the conveyor belt.

An order, its stock, the robot fetching it, the conveyor carrying it and the person packing it are one view, from the ERP down to the PLC.

Send the line its work.

DigiOS releases work to the sorter and the conveyor, and routes each carton to the lane, pack station or dock its order needs.

See every section.

Moving, stopped or backed up, by section, with the orders each one holds. A stopped section shows the work it holds up, and a jam raises an exception for the person who can act.

Weigh, measure, label, tag.

Scales and dimensioners confirm weight and size at receiving and pack-out. Print-and-apply labelers label the carton. RFID portals read pallets through a door. A reading out of range puts the stock it affects on hold.

Sample data

Receiving and dock boardExpected notices, appointments by door and trucks checked in. A delivery is counted pallet by pallet, and a short or damaged pallet is flagged the moment it is scanned. On a phone this shows the delivery at door 3 and the exceptions that need a person.

Storage systems.

Cube, shuttle and other automated storage take store and retrieve jobs from the same queue, and the stock they hold shows beside everything else.

Sample data

Stock by locationWhere every pallet is: a map of the floor and a table by location, with the client, the quantity and any hold. Filter to one client or to holds only.On a phone this shows the stock table, by location.

Machines on a plant floor.

For DigiFactory, the work order goes to the machine, and the machine's state comes back beside it. A stopped machine shows the jobs it holds up, and material goes to it from the same queue as everything else.

Built to work with open standards

DigiOS speaks OPC UA, the common information model for industrial equipment, and MQTT with Sparkplug B, so PLCs, machines and lines can publish what they do and other systems can listen. It also connects to the common PLC protocols directly.

Questions

Who connects to our PLCs?

We do, with your controls engineer, one line at a time. You decide which equipment and which jobs DigiOS handles.

Which conveyor and sorter makers?

Tell us the makers and models on one line. We reply with what each takes.

Do we have to replace equipment?

No. We start with what you run.

Does this cover machines in a factory?

Yes. DigiFactory brings the same view to machines on the line.

Send us the equipment on one line.

We'll walk through your equipment list and the line screen, beside your orders.
