How DigiOS works with SPS Commerce

DigiOS exchanges documents with your SPS Commerce account through SPS-hosted SFTP folders, or through the SPS Dev Center REST APIs, depending on how your account is set up. Test and production folders are kept apart. As the warehouse, DigiOS receives 940 and 943 and sends 945, 944, 947 and 846. When it relays a client's retailer documents, it passes on 850, 856 and 810.

About SPS Commerce
SPS Commerce runs a cloud network that exchanges EDI documents between retailers and their suppliers.
Your account
You keep your SPS Commerce account and your retailer relationships.
If a document is rejected
A document that is rejected, late or missing goes to one queue with its reason, readable on screen and over the API. When the other side fixes its layout, run the document through again. A document sent twice never opens a second order.
Documents
As the warehouse, DigiOS receives 940 and 943 and sends 945, 944, 947 and 846, with 997 and 999 acknowledgments both ways. A client's retailer documents, the 850, 855, 856 and 810, are part of Client Link.
X12 version
Both X12 4010 and 5010, per trading partner. The version is set for each retailer in the mapping sheet.

Questions about SPS Commerce

Does DigiOS replace SPS Commerce?

No. SPS stays the network between you and your retailers. DigiOS is the system that receives the documents and answers them from the floor.

What happens to a document with an unknown ship-to code?

It goes to one queue with its reason, which you read on screen. When you fix the code you run the document through again, and it never opens two orders.

Do we need a developer?

No. We map each retailer's layout with you once, and you approve the sheet before anything is sent.

Our client sends us retailer documents. Does that change anything?

Where DigiOS relays a client's retailer documents rather than receiving them as the warehouse, the 850, 856 and 810 pass through, and Client Link covers the client's own connection.
